Rock Star: Led Zeppelin????

Huh? Really????? Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wait...before I get too far ahead of myself here...it isn't a sure thing. In fact, at this point, it is just speculation. It seems that the boys of Zep want to tour again. Well...most of the boys of Zep that it. Robert Plant isn't completely sold on the idea, so the others are talking about finding a new singer and touring any way.

Producer Dave suggested that Rock Star could be a great way for them to find that lead singer. And I am in 100% agreement!

How awesome would it be to have Led Zeppelin touring again? And how amazing would it be to have Rock Star back on our TV's???

So...is there anything you can do about it? Well...yeah! Make your voice heard!!!

Rock Star: Led Zeppelin could be a huge hit. Brooke Burke, our lovely host, is riding high right now on Dancing With the Stars, and will likely be cruising to a victory shortly. We could once again be exposed to great new talent, like Ryan Star, Marty Casey, JD Fortune, Zayra Alvarez, Storm Large, Suzie McNeil, and so many others! If this is something that you want to see, do something about it!

So Long Ryan...For Real This Time

This week at RockBandLounge.com's Rock Star: All Stars competition, Ryan Star got the boot again. It was a close race between Ryan and his fellow Vote Back winner Zayra Alvarez, but Ryan is the one to leave this time.

If you want to see Zayra and Storm Large (the other member of this week's Bottom 3) remain in the competition, be sure to head over to RBL and vote for them on Sunday.

Also, don't forget that this coming week will have another Double Elimination, so it is imperative to vote for your favorite on Sunday!

Twisty Week at Rock Star: All Stars

Last week, RockBandLounge.com announced The Big Twist, where one of the eliminated rockers would be voted back into the competition. After several days of campaigning and voting, TWO singers actually made it back into the contest. Zayra Alvarez and Ryan Star wound up with a tie for the most votes, and both of them made their way back into the contest, complete with a free pass for Christmas week.

When the voting for the week's performances came to an end, the Bottom Three was made up of Toby Rand, Magni, and Josh Logan. And yet another Twist was introduced in this twisty week...it would be another Double Elimination and the two highest vote-getters would be leaving the competition.

This time, we are seeing the end of Josh and Magni's runs in Rock Star: All Stars. But if you want to hear more from them, be sure to check out their MySpace pages. The Big Twist Revealed

So they've been hinting about a Big Twist for a little bit over at RockBandLounge.com's Rock Star: All Stars competition, and the twist has now been revealed.

After tomorrow's elimination vote, each of the eliminated rockers will be up for reentry into the competition. One of the eleven eliminated singers will be allowed to come back, and they will be given a free pass for their first week. So, if you are one of those who was outraged by Zayra's early elimination or dumbfounded by Suzie's removal, head over to RockBandLounge.com to vote on who should be able to come back!

Singers eligible for this are Zayra, Neal, Brandon, Ty, dirtyPhil, Deanna, Jordis, Suzie, Dilana, Patrice, and whoever is eliminated in tomorrow's vote.

This week there is a bottom four, as there was a tie for the final spot in the bottom three. So Josh, Magni, Storm, and Ryan are all up for elimination tomorrow. If one of them is your favorite and you want them to stay in the competition, be sure to vote tomorrow between midnight and 11:59 pm Pacific time for someone else to be the one leaving.

Rock Star: All Stars - 2 Down

The first week of RockBandLounge.com's Rock Star: All Stars competition is now complete. Season One's Neal Carlson and Season Two's Zayra Alvarez are the first to leave the All Star competition. Personally, I am very sad to see them both go. I love Neal's swagger and raspy vocals, and I love Zayra's balls-to-the-wall manner of delivering a song in her own way, even if it is out there.

This second week of the competition is Originals Week. We'll be listening to original music from each of the 17 remaining singers and voting for our favorites. Once again, we'll lose one singer from Season One and Season Two. Go now and view the clips. Be sure that you are registered for the All Stars competition in order to be able to vote! Click here! Voting will take place on Sunday from midnight to midnight, pacific time. If you want to see your favorite win, you have to vote.

Fort Worth Weekly has taken notice of Pretty Baby. Anthony Mariani writes: "Based on the two songs posted on www.myspace.com/prettybabyrocks, what “stuck” is decidedly weird but in a good, brave way: a lot of heavy beats juxtaposed with Zayra’s relentlessly feminine, crystalline, sing-talky vocals, plus some ominous, hip-hop-inflected industrial music and bursts of arena-rock." According to Mariani, Zayra Alvarez is joined by Fort Worth area songwriters Dave Karnes and Daniel Harville. Karnes has previously worked with Zac Maloy and many others in the jazz-rich North Texas area, and Harville is formerly of Sugarbomb.

Pretty Baby on MySpace!

Fort Worth band Pretty Baby, fronted by the incomparable Zayra Alvarez, has set up a MySpace page to let the world know about their music. Check it out at myspace.com/prettybabyrocks. Add them as a friend to stay up to date on what they are doing, and let your friends know about them!

Zayra gained fame as a contestant on the Tommy Lee reality based TV show, Rock Star: Supernova. She has also sung backing vocals on some of Blue October's music.

Their two new original songs, Violent Man and Feel Good can be found here, as well as on their official website, PrettyBabyMusic.com. Check in for more information as it comes!

Zayra Alvarez of Rock Star: Supernova fame has formed a new band. Pretty Baby has released a preview of a couple of their songs on their website. prettybabymusic.com doesn't have a lot on it yet, other than the two tracks. But I like what I hear so far! Definitely sounds like what you would expect from the MiZtreZZ...
